My roles as a UX Designer and Researcher in this project covers the roles of desk- and field-work based research by analysing related works and interviewing users on haptic feedback; conceptualised ways of sensing the environment; prototyping, user-testing and iterating designs; developing 3D models and printing hardware; modelled and documented the project through video and photographs.

Summary
Inspired by the grass and the taming of nature by walking through it and by that freeing a path.
If you are in front of a meadow with high grass, you may not know where to go. As soon as a path is visible through trampled grass, you know that the route leads this way. Flattened grass gives us an indication not being the first to choose this path. In this way, paths often determine our journey completely subconsciously. By choosing the same trail, we solidify it and it becomes more clearly recognizable for the next one.
After both desk and field research, as well as open-explorations, we’ve decided to make our concept more concrete. The following sentences became our guiding cues: See the remains of the movements of people having been there before you. The actions of the ones who came prior to you are carved into your surrounding. Discover the steps and feel the traces of someone who was here previously.
